Fashion RFID specialist UsungSoft (CEO Eun-hee Ahn) announced that it will launch an AI virtual fitting beta service in January that will lead the digital transformation (DX) trend in the fashion industry and will begin expanding its new business in earnest.
UsungSoft's 'VTON (Virtual Try-ON)' is Korea's first 'photorealistic AI virtual fitting service' that allows users to check fitting results within 3 seconds with a single selfie photo by implementing the best AI algorithm based on patented technology developed by KAIST. Unlike VR
fitting systems that had high initial investment costs and a long preparation period of 6 to 12 weeks but failed to properly display the product, making it difficult to properly check the fit, UsungSoft's VTON is characterized by providing fitting images that are indistinguishable from actual photos and appear to be actual items worn by customers with low initial investment costs and a short preparation period of 2 to 5 days. In addition, it increases the convenience of customers' shopping, such as allowing them to try on various products easily and quickly and compare fitting images of multiple products at the same time, which can significantly increase the purchase conversion rate, and even increase sales, repeat purchases, and repeat visits. The VTON virtual fitting service can be used across various platforms, such as in-store kiosks, mobile web, mobile apps, and online shopping malls, and provides customers with various services specialized in digital, such as virtual wardrobes, social media sharing, and personalized experiences. Eun-hee Ahn, CEO of UsungSoft, said, "VTON virtual fitting service is the optimal service that can maximize customer experience in the era of fashion digital transformation trends." She added, "Through RFID solutions and this new business, we expect to firmly establish ourselves as a leading global fashion solution company beyond Korea."
Meanwhile, in September, UsungSoft signed an industry-academia cooperation (MOU) agreement with KAIST Auto ID Lab for the development of real-time virtual tryon technology to innovate the digital transformation trend (DX) in the fashion industry, and plans to continuously develop and advance virtual tryon technology based on generative AI technology through this.
